In the second quarter, Swiss DIY stores recorded turnover figures just below the previous year’s level, but posted significant growth on a like-for-like basis. This is according to the latest figures published by the German trade association BHB.
With quarterly turnover of CHF 1.08 bn (EUR 1.15 bn), the country’s DIY sector fell 0.2 per cent short of the level recorded in the second quarter of 2025. On a like-for-like basis, however, the sector grew by 4.1 per cent.
This trend also applies to the first half of the year as a whole: turnover fell by 1.4 per cent compared with the same period last year to CHF 1.78 bn (EUR 1.89 bn), but rose by 2.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
