German DIY market leader Bauhaus has today opened a new store in the Austrian capital Vienna that is exceptional in several respects: three floors, the first Strauss Workwear Store and a local supplier location in the city centre. It is the seventh Bauhaus branch in Vienna and the 22nd in Austria.

The branch extends over three floors, as it was set up in a former Kika furniture store. The building was renovated and upgraded over a period of one and a half years. Among other things, the ceilings had to be reinforced. The three floors add up to a sales area of 17,000 m² – on a plot of just 8,200 m². The company has invested EUR 50 mio, including the initial stock.
