Following the location in Losone, where the DIY International editorial team was present at the opening, Bauhaus is now taking over a second former Migros Do it + Garden store in Switzerland, this time in Pfungen in the canton of Zurich.
The new store offers DIY enthusiasts and professionals a compact range of products across a sales area of around 3,000 m2. This makes the new specialist centre in Pfungen the second Bauhaus location in Switzerland to follow a small-space concept. The offering is complemented by a 750 m2 urban garden and 70 parking spaces.
Since opening its first store in Switzerland in 2006, Bauhaus now has seven locations in six cantons. Bauhaus sees the new location as a central component of its national and European expansion strategy.
"We are delighted to now be able to offer our customers in the canton of Zurich our well-thought-out small-space concept with a high-quality product range, expert advice and innovative services," explains Dr. Christoph Theler, CEO of Bauhaus Switzerland.
The new site was taken over from the Do it + Garden sales division of the Migros Group after it announced its intention to focus on its core supermarket business.
