Bauhaus has opened a new store in Losone, Ticino, which has two special features: it is the first Bauhaus store in Italian-speaking Switzerland and, at just 2,700 m², it is unusually small for Bauhaus.
It is one of two locations that Bauhaus Switzerland has taken over from the DIY retail chain Do it + Garden, which was previously run by the Migros cooperative and was discontinued this year. The second location taken over by Bauhaus is in Pfungen near Winterthur and will open in mid-September.
‘Although it doesn't even have 3,000 m², it is a complete Bauhaus,’ emphasised Dr Christoph Theler, Managing Director of Bauhaus Switzerland, at the opening ceremony yesterday afternoon. ‘All product ranges are represented – even in the garden,’ he said.
