Obi acquires further Do it + Garden locations

Following the integration of all existing franchise stores and the opening of a new store in Agno (Ticino) at the beginning of May, German DIY store operator Obi is continuing to expand its store network in Switzerland: on 1 September 2025, the company will take over the two Do it + Garden stores in Länderpark Stans (Nidwalden) and Zugerland Steinhausen (Zug) from the Migros Lucerne cooperative. Two further openings in western Switzerland (Carouge and Nyon) are planned for October 2025.

The two locations will remain open under the Do it + Garden brand until 28 June 2025. Following renovation, they are scheduled to reopen as Obi stores at the end of October 2025. They have sales areas of around 3,300 m² (Steinhausen) and 3,220 m² (Stans).
