Dedeman drops plans for Moldova

The Romanian DIY market leader is evidently giving up its plans to expand into the Republic of Moldova and invest USD 20 mio there. This is according to a report from the Romanian industry service BricoRetail.ro. Dedeman announced this plan in 2014. The first location was intended for a shopping centre in Chişinău, the capital of Moldova. The report states that the city council is blocking the project.
