Bunnings gets to work following the Homebase takeover

27.06.2016

Bunnings has unveiled some key points with regard to how the recently acquired Homebase chain is to be converted to the Bunnings concept.
The marketing is being switched to "always low prices". All concessions in the stores are being terminated, eliminating around GBP 80 mio in sales of Argos and Habitat products. Non-core products are also to be removed from the range, in particular soft furnishings and indoor furniture. A first pilot store in the Bunnings Warehouse format is expected to open this year.
