Shareholders agree to sale of Homebase

The shareholders of Home Retail Group have agreed to the sale of the DIY subsidiary Homebase to the Australian Wesfamers Group. The decision was carried through with a more than 99 per cent majority at the general meeting. The transaction, with a volume of GBP 340 mio (AUD 661 mio) is expected to complete over the next few days.
