Dachser acquires Drummond

Dachser is acquiring its Scottish partner, Drummond Distribution. The companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. In 2025, the transport and logistics service provider generated turnover of around GBP 20 million (EUR 23 million) with just under 175 employees. The company has five sites in the densely populated Scottish Lowlands between Glasgow and Edinburgh. With a focus on industrial goods and non-refrigerated foodstuffs, Drummond – a family-run business founded in 1927 – has been connecting Scottish customers to Dachser’s European general cargo network since 2008. The company provides the regional economy with around 46,500 m² of warehouse space. The acquisition includes Drummond’s fleet of 100 lorries and 80 trailers.

Dachser does not currently have any of its own sites in the region, so the acquisition will not result in any duplication of structures. Dachser also promises continuity in management: the previous owners are gradually stepping back from the company. The operational management team led by Damon Burns will continue to run the company and report to Mark Rollinson, Managing Director of Dachser UK & Ireland.
