US manufacturer Stanley Black & Decker reported a 2 per cent decline in sales last year compared to the previous year. The company reported total sales of USD 15.1 bn (EUR 12,8 bn). Of this, USD 13.158 bn (EUR 11,150 bn) was attributable to the Tools & Outdoor segment and USD 1.972 bn (EUR 1,671 bn) to Engineered Fastening.

In the fourth quarter, sales fell by 1 per cent to USD 3.7 bn (EUR 3,1 bn). In the Tools & Outdoor segment, sales declined by 2 percent as higher prices (+5 percent) and positive currency effects (+2 percent) were unable to offset the 9 percent decline in sales volume.
