The British Kingfisher Group closed the first half of the 2025/2026 financial year (ending 31 July 2025) with an increase in sales. Overall, the group achieved sales of GBP 3.254 bn (EUR 3.732 bn). This is 1.7 per cent more than in the same period last year. Adjusted for currency effects, the increase is 2.3 per cent, and 1.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
Significant sales growth in the UK was offset by declines in France, Poland and Romania. B&Q stores in the UK and Ireland increased their sales by 7.9 per cent, while Screwfix locations saw a 2.9 per cent increase. Overall, these countries recorded growth of 6.1 per cent (5.9 per cent adjusted for currency and like-for-like).
The picture was different in France. Here, Castorma lost 5.1 per cent (adjusted: -3.0 per cent), while Brico Dépôt was 4.6 per cent below the previous year (adjusted -3.3 per cent). The decline in Romania…
