The DIY store division of French building materials and DIY retail group Samse halted last year's negative sales trend in the fourth quarter. However, due to declines in the first nine months, the annual balance sheet remains negative. Samse DIY stores – which operate under the L'entrepôt du bricolage brand – generated sales of EUR 373 mio in 2025 as a whole. This was 5.1 per cent less than in the previous year.
Sales in the fourth quarter amounted to EUR 92 million, exactly the same (0.0 per cent) as in the same period of the previous year. On a like-for-like basis, sales declined by 2.2 per cent; two locations were added at the end of November.
The Samse Group's significantly larger building materials division benefited from a strong first quarter (up 15.9 per cent) in its annual balance sheet. After declining sales in the third and fourth quarters, growth for the full year 2025 remained…
