The German DIY store group Hornbach is preparing to enter the market in another country. At the annual press conference, Albrecht Hornbach, CEO of Hornbach Holding AG, said: "I expect that we will be able to announce relatively soon that we are entering another country." Hornbach currently operates in eight European countries in addition to Germany.
When asked, he also commented on recent reports that a market shake-up was imminent and that customers would no longer visit large stores. "I don't know what film you saw that in," Hornbach said. "But there is constant pressure on weaker players in our industry too."
