The German DIY store group Hornbach confirmed the figures for the 2024/2025 financial year (ending 28 February 2025) that it had published two months ago at its annual press conference in Frankfurt. The challenges are certainly complex, emphasised Erich Harsch, CEO of Hornbach Baumarkt AG. "Nevertheless, we see positive signs for consumer sentiment in the medium to long term," added Albrecht Hornbach, CEO of Hornbach Management AG. Customer footfall in the stores rose by 1.2 per cent. The average receipt remained stable overall and developed slightly positively in the second half of the year.

A very successful start to the spring season was reported for the current financial year. Following two new store openings in Nuremberg and Duisburg and three more in Austria and Romania, management expects consolidated net sales for 2025/2026 to be on a par with or slightly above the previous…
