Byggmax report increased sales and profits in advance again

The operating profit of Swedish Byggmax Group in the second quarter lay significantly over market expectations. One reason for this is the increase in the price of raw materials. This has been reported by the company in advance.
Even though sales in the second quarter of 2020 had already risen by 39 per cent, they grew again in the second quarter of 2021 by 13 per cent and achieved somewhat more than SEK 2.8 bn, writes Byggmax. The increased price of raw materials had led to increased consumer prices and positively influenced both sales as well as the gross margin. Byggmax also profits from its low margin position; when prices rise in general, more customers choose Byggmax, the company explains.
