Bostik is to take over the company LIP Bygningsartikler AS (LIP), the Danish market leader in tile adhesives, sealing systems and substrate preparation. The announcement was made by Bostik's parent organisation, the French corporate group Arkema. According to a statement by Bostik, the acquisition should enable it to offer its customers a wider range of solutions while at the same time strengthening its presence in the Nordic countries. The takeover is expected to be completed by the start of 2020.
LIP develops, manufactures and markets tile adhesives, sealing systems and products for substate preparation. Its sales are in the region of EUR 30 million. The company employs approximately 50 staff and has a plant in Nørre Aaby (Denmark), which is reported to be highly automated and climate-neutral.
