"Internet Plus" will be one of the key themes at the China International Hardware Show from 21 to 23 October 2016 in Shanghai. This strategy was officially unveiled by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in March 2015. It is being compared with the information superhighway and industry 4.0 and is intended to give fresh impetus to the Chinese economy.
Internet Plus has already been applied to the hardware industry, according to an advance announcement about the CIHS. Many online platforms and channels are springing up. CIHS 2016 will invite a large number of well-known domestic and international online platforms to exhibit their products and services during the event. Combining the Internet and the event will supplement online and offline transaction modes, according to the organisers, Koelnmesse and the China National Hardware Association.
