The number of exhibitors and visitors to the IPM Dubai increased considerably this year. 3.505 visitors from 47 countries visited the three day plant show at the beginning of October in the desert state, an increase of six per cent on last year’s figures. The number of exhibitors increased by 38 per cent to 102 companies and the allocated space grew by 50 per cent.
The internationality also rose this year, as could be seen by the strong increase in the number of Eastern European companies as well as cut-flower producers from Africa and South America. There were also joint international stands from Egypt, Ethiopia, Germany, Kenya, the USA and, for the first time, also from China, Mauritius and Sri Lanka. In the coming year, the IPM trade fair date has been moved by 6 weeks and will now take place from 13 to 15 November in Dubai.
