Rona, one of Canada’s leading DIY chains, is now moving beyond simply selling products and is launching a tool rental service at its Rona+ Golden Mile store in Toronto. For this, the retailer is partnering with Onsite Rentals, which, according to a press release, has established one of North America’s most successful tool rental platforms. The new service is set to be rolled out in selected stores later this year.

As part of this partnership, a rental platform is being created that aims to make renting quick, seamless and consistent across web, mobile and in-store interactions. The platform integrates Rona’s systems into Onsite Rentals’ rental ecosystem, enabling customers to plan, reserve and collect tools as part of a seamless experience.
