Net turnover at Dutch non-food discounter Action rose by 14 per cent to €4 billion in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year. This increase was achieved through continued massive expansion. Like-for-like sales growth stood at 3.6 per cent.

In the first three months of 2026, Action added a total of 33 stores to its network. The aim is to open at least 400 new stores in Europe in 2026. At the end of the quarter, the company operated 3,335 stores across 15 European countries.

As the company further reports, it has also significantly increased customer footfall. During the quarter, an average of 22.2 million customers visited Action stores each week; this represents an increase of 12.4 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.
