Toolstation, the pro-oriented sales channel of the British building materials group Travis Perkins, continues to grow in the UK but is still seeing a decline in turnover in the Benelux countries. In the third quarter, Toolstation’s UK outlets increased their turnover by 3.7 per cent compared with the same period last year, and by 3.6 per cent on a like-for-like basis. The Benelux division, by contrast, reported a decline of 1.6 per cent, and 1.3 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
This means the trend for the first three quarters is similar. Toolstation’s turnover in the UK rose by 3.0 per cent from January to September compared with the same period last year, and by 2.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis. The outlets in the Benelux countries saw turnover fall by 1.8 per cent overall and by 0.9 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
