PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk (AHI), the operator of Indonesia’s top home improvement retailing chain Azko, has launched a smaller retailing format that caters to budget shoppers.
Neka, which serves as Azko’s affordable, community-based brand in suburban districts, is positioned as the Kawan Lama group’s answer to Malaysian-owned Mr. DIY Indonesia, which currently dominates the discounter and low-income segment in the country.
Azko, formerly Ace Hardware Indonesia, caters to mid-income, convenience- and value-driven patrons in the country with its comprehensive household and lifestyle solutions, broad product range, and rich shopping experience. With Neka, the Kawan Lama group can now serve the mass market and lower tier areas, thereby plugging a 30-year gap in its market reach.
The new retail format quietly launched 10 stores in the island of Java throughout December 2025…
