Light + Building 2026 came to a close last Friday. From 8 to 13 March 2026, 1,927 exhibitors from 49 countries presented technological solutions ranging from the electrification and networking of buildings to lighting and design concepts at the trade fair in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Technologies such as artificial intelligence, bidirectional charging, multifunctional interfaces and connected lighting solutions were prominent at numerous stands.
Over the six days, a total of 144,767 visitors from 143 countries came to Frankfurt am Main. The majority of international guests travelled from China, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Belgium, the UK, Spain and Greece. Restrictions on international air travel, as well as the geopolitical situation in the Middle East with temporary closures of key aviation hubs, particularly in Dubai, meant that not all visitors were able…
