Koelnmesse Italia is cooperating with Italian trade publisher Collins and its industry event Buyer Point for the International Hardware Fair Italy. A matchmaking area based on the Buyer Point model will be integrated into the next Hardware Fair on May 5 and 6, 2027, in Bergamo. As a standalone event, Buyer Point will in future only take place every two years in odd-numbered years – the next time on May 27, 2026 – alternating with the Hardware Fair, which was planned from the outset to take place only every two years. The last edition in May 2025 saw 320 exhibitors from 22 countries present in Bergamo, with more than 5,600 trade visitors from 53 countries attending.
Thomas Rosolia, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Italia, comments: “In a market characterized by a multitude of events and trade shows dedicated to the hardware sector and related industries, this agreement marks a decisive step toward greater clarity and simplification of the overall offering. The goal is to create a single reference platform capable of enhancing exhibitors’ investments and providing visitors with a more comprehensive and representative event for the market.”
David Giardino, Managing Director of Collins adds: “This collaboration enhances our respective strengths without altering the identity or structure of the two events.”
