Although the German Hornbach Group increased its sales in the third quarter, it expects earnings to decline. Based on preliminary figures, Hornbach Holding AG & Co. KGaA expects ‘a decline in earnings compared with the same quarter of the previous year due to weaker sales growth’ in the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year (1 September 2025 to 30 November 2025), according to an ad hoc announcement.
Net sales in this period rose by 2.2 per cent to EUR 1.5387 bn compared with the same quarter of the previous year – weaker than expected, according to the company. This means that the increase in costs could not be fully offset by sales growth. According to the information provided, adjusted EBIT therefore fell by 21.0 per cent to EUR 27.3 mio.
