Manufacturer revenues from insulation materials in Austria fell by 4.9 per cent to EUR 311.5 mio in 2025. The flat demand trend was offset by a 4.5 per cent year-over-year decline in average selling prices, according to an analysis by the market research institute Branchenradar.com Marktanalyse. This marks a slowdown in the decline: In the two preceding years, sales had fallen by double-digit percentages (2024: -12.9 per cent, 2023: -21.4 per cent).
In 2025, sales declined particularly for extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), rigid polyurethane foam (PUR/PIR), and organic insulation materials. Here, the year-over-year decline ranged between 7 and 10 per cent. Sales of mineral wool were down by an average of 5 per cent compared to the previous year.
