In two weeks' time, on 2 September 2025, the 39th International Trade Fair for Special Offers and Imports (IAW) will open its doors. Until 4 September, Halls 6 and 9 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre will become a marketplace for retailers from all over the world. The IAW connects 280 exhibitors from more than 30 countries with trade visitors.
Buyers will find everyday consumer goods as well as seasonal products, including garden and leisure items, household goods and electronics. In addition, the fair offers an opportunity to strengthen personal relationships with business partners and negotiate deals face-to-face, emphasise the organisers, Nordwestdeutsche Messegesellschaft Bremen-Hannover.
Impulses from the digital world
An integral part of the trade fair is the E-Commerce Arena, which, in its 21st edition, offers a compact and practice-oriented stage programme in cooperation with restposten.de and Mitou GmbH. Twenty-one speakers will provide insights into current trends and strategies in online retail – from marketplace optimisation and international sourcing to AI-supported marketing and brand building.
On the second day of the trade fair, Martina Schimmel will present the Zentrada Forum on the E-Commerce Stage on the topic of "Living. Acting. Thinking – How AI is reshaping our world and commerce." The programme of the E-Commerce Arena will continue with Sebastian Herz from Zignify, who will talk about the possibilities of global purchasing. Mario Alka from Tricoma AG will give tips on how retail brands can become love brands. The aim of the programme is to give visitors practical ideas that they can transfer directly to their own businesses in a short space of time, explain the organisers.
