Indonesia’s dominant home improvement retailer PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk (AHI) has exceeded its same store sales target for the first nine months of the year ending September, an official of the company revealed. Thalia Riyadi, investor relations and business analyst at AHI, disclosed in a LinkedIn post that cumulative same store sales reached 9.8 per cent in the three quarters ending September, surpassing the company’s initial guidance of seven per cent. The growth, she said, was driven by markets outside Java, Indonesia’s most populous island. AHI has been operating Ace Hardware stores in Indonesia for almost three decades. That arrangement will expire on 31 December 2024.
