Sales at the Gardena Division, Husqvarna Group's consumer business, fell 5 per cent in the third quarter to around SEK 2.287 bn (about EUR 196.54 mio), the parent company stated in its quarterly report. This corresponds to a total share of 24 per cent of the group's net sales. Organic sales decreased by 8 per cent as a result of lower demand, it said, while currency effects contributed 3 per cent.

In the current financial year 2023, Gardena is thus looking at a 4 per cent decline in net sales to SEK 11.638 bn (approx. EUR 1.00 bn). Organic sales declined by 11 per cent, with currency effects contributing 6 per cent.

Price increases, good cost control and lower raw material and logistics costs had a positive effect, while lower volumes had a negative impact, the annual report says.
