Dominant home improvement retailer Ace Hardware Indonesia has notched up a 4.8 per cent rise in sales during the first quarter, thanks to a general improvement across all its categories. The company disclosed sales of 1.668 trillion Indonesian rupiah (IDR, EUR 102.6 mio) for the period. Of this, home improvement contributed the most at IDR 924.98 bn (EUR 57.0 mio), or a 6.6 per cent increase compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Lifestyle accounted for IDR 672.88 bn, up 2.2 per cent from the comparative period, while toys saw an 8.3 per cent rise to IDR 70.46 bn.

A member of the Kawan Lama group, Ace Indonesia holds the licence to operate Ace Hardware stores in the country until the end of 2024. Information from the company's website shows that between January and March 2023, the top home improvement retailer in Indonesia opened three stores, with a fourth one welcoming shoppers in April.
