German chain Toom to turn over around 11 per cent less in 2021

German DIY chain Toom recorded EUR 2.7 bn sales last year, 11.4 per cent down on the previous year. Toom is one of the top 5 German DIY retailers.

The entire Rewe Group, to which Toom belongs, increased its 2021 turnover by

2.5 per cent to EUR 76.5 bn. "Unfortunately, the past year was also marked by numerous burdens due to the coronavirus pandemic," said CEO Lionel Souque. "Unfortunately, the lockdown at the beginning of 2021 was also not without negative consequences for sales in our DIY division."
