Philippine home improvement retailer AllHome disclosed a 15 per cent rise in sales for 2021 coming off a low base owing to Covid-19-related woes. In its annual report, AllHome said sales hit 14.32 bn Philippine pesos (EUR 250 mio) in 2021 on stronger comparable store sales, which grew by 8.1 per cent from 3.5 per cent, as well as the contribution of seven new stores.

"The growth... emanated from the low sales generated in 2020 when the pandemic broke out and the strictest lockdown ensued, which temporarily closed all the company's Luzon stores for two months. The lockdown this year allowed all company stores to continue operating, albeit on shortened hours," AllHome said.

The number of transactions last year rose by eight per cent to 3.891 million as compared with 2020. E-commerce made up 11 per cent of revenues.

AllHome president Benjamarie Therese Serrano said that the higher footfall reflects a return of customers to stores, and said that AllHome is seeing operations returning to full strength. "We are confident in the strategies we have in place to push towards our 100-store milestone in 2026," she added.
