As in the five months before, DIY stores in France also made less sales in October than in the same month of the previous year; one year ago they recorded very high sales figures both before and after lockdown restrictions. They have now made 8.95 per cent less sales compared to October 2020. In contrast, the October sales compared to 2019 were 13 per cent over the respective comparative level. These figures have been reported by the French DIY retail association FMB.
Totalled sales from January to October 2021 also grew in double-digit figures in the year-on-year comparison and exceed figures from the first ten months of 2020 by 15.06 per cent.
