Byggmax sales down slightly after currency and retail area adjustments

The Swedish DIY store operator Byggmax ended the third quarter with sales of SEK 1.7678 bn, equivalent to an increase of 23.9 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year. The acquisition of Skånska Byggvaror in January 2016 is responsible for the high growth rate. In terms of comparable stores and local currency, sales declined by 0.3 per cent. In the first nine months, the group's sales came to SEK 4.2444 bn, an increase of 28.9 per cent over the first three quarters of the previous year. Sales in comparable stores and at local currency were up 3.2 per cent.
