The Spanish DIY chain Bricor increased its sales last year by 19.9 per cent to € 108.78 mio, according to the annual report of its parent group El Corte Inglés. At € -5.14 mio, EBITDA was still negative, but improved by 33.4 per cent, holding out the prospect that the chain would soon achieve break even, the report said. Attention is being drawn in particular to the package of services for refurbishment and projects ("reformas y proyectos"). More than 22 000 orders were handled in relation to this, equating to a 60 per cent increase compared with the previous year.
