Kesko holds on to the sales revenue level on a comparable basis

The Finnish trading group Kesko made a tiny plus of 0.1 per cent in local currencies, excluding Anttila, with its home improvement and speciality goods trade in the first quarter. In absolute terms however, the revenue decreased by 9.5 per cent to € 712.0 mio compared to the same period last year.
In March, the sales continued to remain under the previous year's level. The sales of the home improvement and speciality goods trade were € 281.2 mio. That's 11.1 per cent less that in March 2015. Comparable sales excluding Anttila, decreased by 5.1 per cent in local currencies. In Finland, comparable sales declined by 7.9 per cent. Outside Finland, comparable sales decreased by 1.0 per cent in local currencies. The sales of the building and home improvement trade decreased by 4.4 per cent in local currencies.
