"A year marked by growth" is the headline of Bricorama's stock exchange notification for the business year 2015. The French DIY store operator increased its revenue by 7.4 per cent over last year to € 725.22 mio. The reason for this high increase was the growth in the domestic market in France. Despite a weak fourth quarter, marked by the terrorist attacks in November, the company turned over € 488.7 mio here in 2015. That's 11.9 per cent more than the previous year.
On the other hand, Bricorama's revenue in the Benelux countries decreased by 1.4 per cent to € 216.2 mio. The fourth quarter in particular, together with the Belgian market, caused the French a lot of problems.
In contrast, the conditions in Spain are considered favourable. After a like-for-like plus of 9.7 per cent in the fourth term, Bricorama increased sales for the whole year here by 6.7 per cent to € 20.3 mio.
