Groupe Adeo reported to be interested in Homebase

It is reported in the British and French press that the French company Groupe Adeo may have an interest in the British DIY chain Homebase. According to the Sunday Times, Adeo and its Leroy Merlin distribution channel have considered a takeover of the chain belonging to the Home Retail Group on a number of occasions in the last few years. The press reports indicate that an investment company, the former head of the Garden Centre Group, Nicholas Marshall, and the Steinhoff furniture chain are also currently looking at Homebase.
