Groupe Adeo buys online solid wood furniture specialist

The French Groupe Adeo has acquired a majority stake in Tikamoon, an online shop specialising in solid wood furniture. The new subsidiary will come under Adeo's decor division, which also includes the sales division Zôdio, as well as Internet pure players, like Delamaison, Lightonline, Decoclico und Home's Up. According to Adeo's own statement there are various reason for the acquisition, amongst others, the expansion of the product range, the acceleration of the internationalisation process and the incorporation into its multichannel strategy.
Tikamoon was founded in 2007. Apart from France, the online trader also has operations in Germany, Great Britain and Italy. It expects a total turnover of € nine mio in the coming year, half of which will be outside France.
