The Swedish DIY chain Byggmax takes over the online retailer Buildor, which already operates in Sweden, for SEK 130 mio. The online store’s range covers the construction and furnishing sectors with products from bathroom fittings through to windows, doors as well as garden tools. The company achieved a turnover of almost SEK 50 mio in the last twelve months and has grown by 150 per cent. It was founded in 2013 and has ten employees. Byggmax’s CEO, Magnus Agervald says that he hopes one of the outcomes of the acquisition will be that “Buildor can help us to become even better in e-commerce.”
