Natural ropes are the all-rounder among ropes - and have a long-standing tradition, partner Andreas Halle at Seilflechter Tauwerk GmbH knows. He is now the tenth generation to head the ropemakers. The roots of the family-run business go back to the year 1745. Natural ropes are currently experiencing a boom in the private sector. Models made from jute, cotton, hemp, sisal and other natural raw materials are in demand according to the managing director. Their applications are very diverse. They serve as rustic handrail rope, are used for interior and garden design as well as for hand-made decorations. They are also suitable in outside areas wherever, for example, flowers, plants and trees need to be secured. But they can also be used in sports and games as ropes for climbing, skipping, tug-of-war and swings. Natural ropes are ideal, according to Seilflechter, due to their diversity and they also cover the topic of ecology. "The biodegradable natural fibres and their recycling possibilities make natural ropes a universal and sustainable product for discerning and nature-loving consumers," highlights Halle.
In order to bring these products closer to the customer at POS, Seilflechter has developed a new display. It is, according to the manufacturer, the only natural rope sales display of its kind in Europe. The sales module is the size of half a Euro pallet and is made from untreated MDF natural wood panels. A mounted top sign is added to attract attention and serves as customer activation on site. The display is equipped with twelve different natural ropes in various strengths and lengths. From hemp ropes and cotton ropes to flat ropes, right up to sisal thread, everything is there, emphasises the company. Anyone who returns the two rope spools in the display to Seilflechter afterwards so that they can be reused will be repaid a deposit amount. This is unique in the field of rigging manufacturing, highlights the supplier. Seilflechter offers retail, specialist trade and wholesale the range of natural ropes as permanent assortment and states that a continuous replenishment of the goods is easily possible.
