World of private labels
World of Private Label” will be held on the RIA exhibition site in Amsterdam on 28 and 29 May. There exhibitors on around 3 000 stands will be introducing food and non-food wares that are obvious choices as private labels. DIY articles will again be on display at this year’s trade fair, as has been the case in previous years. According to a study published by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), private labels in this category are recording major growth potential in Europe. Also of interest to the DIY retail sector are the categories of household and garden, car care articles and leisure products. The expectation is for over 12 000 visitors to attend the fair this year. Representatives from Leroy Merlin and Mr. Bricolage have numbered among those attending previous events.
More international visitors
This year saw Cevisama in the Spanish city of Valencia succeed in increasing the international share of fair visitors by 13 per cent to 9 859. Altogether 84 051 trade visitors were recorded over the five days of the fair. This means that the fair has this year proved itself to be on an international level as a showcase for ceramic tiles.
Hardware fair in Guangzhou
The third hardware fair to be held in the Chinese city of Guangzhou will be open for business from 20 to 23 May. More than 200 companies will be presenting their products from the categories of tools, hardware and housewares, plus lighting and electrical, on an exhibition space extended to 8 000 m2. A total of 2 200 local buyers and 120 foreign colleagues were counted during last year’s event.
Fair premiere in Israel
Around 300 exhibitors from both home and abroad are expected to attend the first hardware and DIY trade fair to be held in Tel Aviv from 20 to 22 May. Available to them in the fair centre is an exhibition space of 20 000 m2. It is hoped that buyers from globally leading DIY retailers will be among the 50 000 visitors expected to attend. The trade fair happenings will be supplemented by a conference programme that highlights the trends in the DIY branch. There is an “Executive Business Club” available for all exhibitors, a meeting place for those interested in new ideas and products. What is more, conference rooms and communication facilities can also be made use of.
