Following the realization of major expansion projects as part of its Vision 2025 and the anniversary celebrations at Lake Wolfgang, where FN Neuhofer looked back on the past 375 years, the signs continue to point to growth and development. Profile extrusion is the order of the day, as the wood processor has recognized, and has built a new factory specifically for this business area. The production lines have been extensively tested and optimized, and the new machines will soon be moving in. “We have been working on the topic of extrusion and the manufacture of our own plastic profiles for a long time. Now we are tackling this vision and can hardly wait for the first extruded profile to come off the production line,” says company boss Franz Neuhofer. Such continuous investments in the company’s own location are intended to ensure technological advances and efficient production processes.

New joint venture
There was a significant change not only in terms of subject matter, but also in terms of location: last year, Neuhofer expanded into the US and launched the joint venture “NSP Panels and more” with two American partners. The aim is to establish functional design in the form of acoustic panels, wall elements, and accessories for floors, walls, and ceilings on the American market. “Our goal is to pool our expertise in production and product development and move closer to the top of the global market,” says Franz Neuhofer.
From sawmill to global player
Since its founding in 1650, the company has grown from a small sawmill to a global player in wood processing, with a product portfolio that includes molding systems, acoustic panels, and wall coverings. It supplies around 70 countries worldwide, with an export rate of 96 percent.
Young at heart
FN Neuhofer, based in Zell am Moos, is one of Austria's oldest family businesses. "You can only get this old if you stay young at heart as a company. Visionary thinking and innovative spirit have been part of our culture for generations. Values, family, teamwork, and continuity are what matter to us. We have always had the confidence to invest even in challenging times, and that has helped us progress," emphasizes Franz Neuhofer, who is the tenth generation to lead the company.
