Praktiker in Sofia nearly twice as big and energy-efficient

Praktiker Bulgaria has modernised its store on the Tsarigradsko Boulevard in the capital Sofia and expanded it. Among other things, the retail area has been virtually doubled in size to 7 800 m² by the addition of 3500 m².
"This is the nicest, largest and most ecological Praktiker hypermarket because we have made it quite energy-efficient," said Todor Belchev, chairman of the board of directors of the parent company Videolux holding, at the opening ceremony last week.
The store now retails more than 50 000 products, according to a press release. Work on the upgrade reportedly took less than six months.
