Home Depot reports a 33 per cent increase of sales

The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, reports sales of USD 37.500 bn (EUR 30.887 bn) for the first quarter of fiscal 2021 (ending 2 May), an increase of 32.7 per cent from the first quarter of fiscal 2020. Comparable sales increased 31.0 per cent, and comparable sales in the US increased 29.9 per cent. "Fiscal 2021 is off to a strong start as we continue to build on the momentum from our strategic investments and effectively manage the unprecedented demand for home improvement projects," said Craig Menear, chairman and CEO.
