The 2018 sales of Swiss retail group Coop grew by 5.0 per cent to CHF 30.7 bn. This increase was fuelled primarily by the wholesale and production arms of the business, which grew by 9.0 per cent. Retail sales rose by 2.0 per cent to a volume of CHF 17.8 bn. The specialist formats, including the home improvement chain Coop Bau + Hobby, increased their net earnings by 3.8 per cent to CHF 7.4 bn. In online business, the Coop retail arm grew by 14.9 per cent to CHF 782 mio.
