Global home improvement market contracted by 2.1 per cent in 2025

The global home improvement market contracted in 2025 for the third consecutive year. Specifically, the turnover of the companies surveyed in the global home improvement market fell by a total of 2.1 per cent when calculated in euros. This is one of the results of the new edition of the Home Improvement Report Retail Worldwide 2026, which is due to be published in early October and analyses data from more than 600 retailers and statistical offices across over 70 countries, presenting this information across some 300 pages. Alongside the new Home Improvement Report Retail Worldwide, also the underlying data collection, Home Improvement Retailers Worldwide, in both European and global editions, will be published.
