The international garden centre industry is gathering in Munich this week. The IGCA Congress 2026, organised by the International Garden Centre Association, began on Sunday evening, 16 August, and will run until next Friday, 22 August 2026. Around 270 participants from all over the world – garden centre operators, suppliers and service providers – are visiting eight garden centres in Bavaria, a Hornbach store and other businesses this week.

The tour began on Monday with a visit to the Schopf family’s Grünes Zentrum Krottenbach near Nuremberg, which showcased its highly distinctive premium concept. The second visit of the first day was to the Dauchenbeck family’s second site in Nuremberg; the store implements the "grün erleben" concept by Sagaflor, a German purchasing cooperative.
