US market grows by 3.9 per cent in the first half of the year

The broader home improvement market in the US grew significantly in the first half of 2026. This is according to the latest figures from the U.S. Census Bureau. Its latest trade statistics (NAICS 444, North American Industry Classification System) show that building materials, garden equipment and supplies dealers recorded a turnover of USD 249.351 bn (EUR 215.616 bn). This represents an increase of 3.9 per cent compared with the same period last year. In June alone, the increase was 6.9 per cent. Seasonally adjusted, growth stood at 3.5 per cent.
