Hornbach DIY stores generated turnover of around EUR 1.9 bn in the first quarter of 2026 (1 March to 31 May); this represents a 4.7 per cent increase in turnover compared with the first quarter of 2025. In Germany, the increase was 1.8 per cent, or 1.0 per cent on a like-for-like basis. The Hornbach Group announced these figures today in a press release. Adjusted for store size and currency effects, total turnover rose by 2.8 per cent. Online sales (including Click & Collect) accounted for 13.6 per cent of total turnover; compared with the previous year, online turnover rose by 9.0 per cent to EUR 257.5 mio.
According to GfK figures, Hornbach DIY stores increased their market shares: to 16.1 per cent in Germany, to 30.4 per cent in the Netherlands, to 18.1 per cent in Austria, to 15.5 per cent in Switzerland and to 40.1 per cent in the Czech Republic.
